What can we say? We had a sublime launch year here at Delirious Moves. Founded last year, we set out to establish ourselves solid in the local DIY-scene. Formed around a group of super-talented and driven individuals, we weren't fearful of tapping into like-minded organizations with similar goals and backgrounds. In that spirit we teamed up with Hydropunk- a Bronx artist collective that have been doing their thing strong since 2014- to assist in their annual flagship show ("Hydro Punk 3.5").

The night was a massive success, highlighting that the Bronx scene was back and here to stay!

Soon after, we kicked off the first of our electric series, "Limitless Night", showcasing up and coming talent from around the New York City boroughs. The performances that night were something to remember. We started the night off with our spoken word hour featuring Nia Ghese, Yasmine Lancaster and Ayana K. (with Raymond Moreta) who each brought their own flavor to the mix. The night was magical, with one of the only performances of the femme-duo, Farout ever to hit the stage, headlining the show and many more illuminating performances.

From there, we proceeded to keep the momentum going with another collaboration, this time with fledgling Bronx rock label, Blue Machine Records. As two of the newest organizations jumping on the scene, it was only right that we came together for magic! And magic it was, as we brought bands from all across the boroughs and even as far as Staten Island for "The Blue Tape Sessions". (Shouts out to Da Pop! ) With a lineup that also included The Wedge, Edith Pop, White Lighters and DEMI, the wildness did not cease after the last band stopped playing, but spilled out into the street in a beer-induced haze.

Being as we reside in The Boogie Down Bronx, too much time had passed before we dedicated an entire show to our love of hip-hop. By the time summer rolled around, we fixed that and brought you the first of our underground hip-hop series; "Underground To Kings".

Headlined by the hardest working rap duo in New York City, Mankind, we set out to shine a light on some of the hardest acts this city has to offer. We were blessed to have The White Lotus Collective return for another great set, and other artists who had heat in the streets at the time (including Boogie Noche, O.S.K., World's Lyrik, spoken word artist Ayana K. and more).

Our next move was definitely a delirious one. We teamed up with another upstart organization, Power Button Entertainment, to help bring the EDM scene to the Bronx where it was definitely lacking. With a superb lineup of popping DJ's, they represented and everyone had a great time. We are looking forward to bringing that wave back up here ASAP.

It was a night of carefree shuffling, dancing and vibes that will not be forgotten. (Oh yea, and lots of neon lights) Makes us wonder why there aren't more EDM events uptown, but that will change if Power Button Ent. has any say in it!

After a short end of summer break, we came back strong like Drake...back to back! First was our Friday the 13th house show, "Nightmare on Jerome Ave" that brought out bomb acts such as Swinging Riot, Statik Vision, Demi Ramos, and Attempted Revenge. The aesthetic was horror-themed, but the vibes were anything but.

Shouts out to Chazsfx who was in the house working her voodoo

with a live horror effects show for everyone's enjoyment! That girl is super-talented and added something dope and unique to the night.

A few weeks later, we did it again with "On The Gate", jumping off with

an eclectic and diverse lineup.  (including Dark Moon Apache, The Living Strange, and hometown team Ronx, Statik Vision, Amusia and Idlehood.)

All the bands brought down the house and we were honored to host them once again.

As a celebration for our hard work and appreciation to all who supported us throughout 2017, we threw a huge end-of-the-year bash complete with pastelitos and rum gummies. It was a culmination of all our efforts, and it felt good to just kick back and party with all our peoples! (Shouts out to fellow organizers Erick Peguero-Ramirez, Kassandra Montes, Kevin Ortiz and Gabriel Ogbennaya who helped make it all possible.)

This was a wild year. As we take the time out to reflect on all the great things we had going on and how we can improve and grow, we also take time out to thank ALL of our collaborating organizations, all of the artists who rocked our stage, and everyone who ever bought a ticket to any one of our events or parties. We appreciate your support and promise to keep going hard in 2018 and beyond. We love you.

Stay Delirious!
